Little Women

I feel that a much-needed updated post deserves the best topic: a favorite movie classic, Little Women. I am fond of both the old and newer version of the movie. Of course, nothing compares to the book! But if you've only got a few hours to hear a story, the movies will do just fine! I never get tired of the March family; they are so close. It's the only story that has ever made me want to have sisters (and a boy next door named Lorrie to grow up with!) What inspired me to watch this classic movie tonight you ask yourself? None other than a Friends episode revolving around The Shining and Little Women. And perhaps the need to sit by the fireplace and watch something that warms my heart everytime.

I leave you with some of my favorite lines ( and a promise to post some SD pictures soon!) :

>>>"Jo, don't say awful---it's slang." (Meg)

>>>"What do you think of the boy? Is he a spy like Smee or Nicholas Nicolby? Does he have a noble brow? If I were a boy I would want to look just like that." (Jo)

>>>"We'll all grow up someday Meg. We might as well know what we want." (Amy)

>>>"Oh Jo, your dress...You always did stand too close to the fire...oh well, just keep your backside to the wall." (Meg)

>>>"That's Meg...that's my sister. She's completely bald in front." (Jo)

>>>"He put snow on her ankle?...With his own hands?" (Amy)

>>>"He isn't a boy, he's Lorrie." (Jo)

>>> "Mr. Lawrence, one doesn't shout at women as if they were cattle." (shouting) "My apologies." (John Brooke)

>>>"Nothing's going to change Jo." (Lorrie)

>>>"I don't want to die. I've never even been kissed. I've waited my whole life to be kissed and what if I miss it?" (Amy)
