Family Conversations

I love my family. I love that we get along. I love that we love hanging out together. I love that we all have things in common and traditions that only we celebrate. I love watching TV with them. Here's a recent conversation I had while watching Inspiration Sensation. Somehow I happened upon this show while scrolling through the menu. Basically it's a Christian cheesy-to-the-max version of American Idol. I'm not even going to post a link to it. The show was just bad quality! If you're interested, do a search on your own. Here's an example of my family conversation.

Dad and I had just finished watching a contestant perform. The three judges were about to give feedback. (What I'd like to call 'praise'...they never seemed to have anything constructive to say.) I was just about to change the channel because I couldn't stand the cheesiness any longer. But instead we waited until the last judge began to give his feedback. As he did...

Dad: Where did they get this gay man from?
Me (shocked that my dad even insulted someone, replied with a confused look) : Dad, he's not gay.
Dad (laughing) : No, I said---where did they get this cave man from?
Me: Oh...

Ah, the joy and laughter in family conversations!

I love your family too. And as to your last post, I totally learned that secret from Jackie Owens, and use it to this day when babysitting small children.
