Vote for David Archuleta!!!

So for those of you know me, I am a dedicated fan of American Idol. In its 7th season, I admit, I am a little bored. Until I hear David Archuleta. I'm really not interested in the others this year and I find myself fast-forwarding through all the bad performances. But this kid (he's 17), is BY FAR one of the best contestants this show has had! I'd say he's in the top 3 best contestants(meaning my top 3), with Carrie Underwood (Season 4) and Melinda Doolittle (Season 6). (It's sad that I can recall names and season #'s isn't it?!) Anyway, this guy has got the skills, the charisma, and the smile to win this thing. And he's so cute, you just want to hug him. Or, "squeeze him and dangle him from your rearview mirror everyday", as Paula commented on his performance earlier this last week. I haven't been this excited about a contestant's performance since Blake Lewis sang "You Give Love a Bad Name" last season.

Anyway, if you don't believe me, listen to the video of David's performance this last week on American Idol. The theme was the 70's and he chose Lennon's, "Imagine". To be perfectly honest, I can't stand this song, even though I like the lyrics. But David Archuleta sang this so well that he actually made me like this song. And you can bet that if he gets a record deal, I'll be on my way to the store, first thing. And in rememberance of Blake's FANTASTIC version of "You Give Love a Bad Name", I've attached that video as well.
