I think that my intern friend Olivia is very wise, but I have come to disagree with the wise saying of "The Socks Say It All" since I've been at work this week. I believe that I now have proof that SHOES say it all; whatever "it all" is for you!
Over these last few work days, I've had a few of my co-workers comment on my shoes. I am usually wearing different shoes to work because I match them with my outfit. I pretty much have shoes in every color at this point. While on my lunch break Saturday I was complaining that my feet hurt. Now there are many reasons for this, but my main reasons were (a) I had been standing on my feet and walking around for 5 hours and (b) I was wearing slipper shoes that rubbed my feet raw because they were weren't broken into yet.
After commenting of my feet, a co-worker took a glance at my shoes he laughed and said, "No wonder your feet hurt with you wearing those 'My Little Pony' shoes." I didn't quite understand why he referred to my shoes as 'My Little Pony' until I looked and saw that they were a light purple color. I'm not up-to-date on all the old cartoon shows that SOME people watched as a kid.
I went through a similar conversation with that same co-worker tonight as we headed out to our cars. Tonight I was wearing the gold, sequined slipper shoes. (You know the ones that I get a comment on everytime I wear them!) So as we were walking out, I mentioned that my feet were still being rubbed raw from yesterday's shoes. This time he looked down and said, "So yesterday it was 'My Little Pony' and today you've moved on to 'I Dream Of Jeannie' shoes."
Now that two pairs of my shoes have been given personalities from TV shows, I believe that shoes really do say it all (at least mine do!). It'll be interesting to see what my next pair of shoes will be "saying"at work. What have your shoes been saying?
(I'm sure "Dr. Expert" will have something to say about this.........)
