Kandy for All!

Got any plans this Tuesday? Now, normally I wouldn't be interested in October 31st, but this year is an exception. I have been waiting to write this post and now that an occasion to talk about candy has come up, I think it's about time. If you haven't got decent plans for Tuesday, I suggest you head to Point Loma. You can go there any time of the day. But this is a phenomenon you don't want to miss! If Point Loma was a 'wonder of San Diego' this would be the 'second wonder of San Diego'. It has its own little world located at the first floor of Klassen Hall. If you haven't been to this candy-covered phenomenon, make plans to see it sometime soon. (Tuesday is a good day!)

For those of you who have already seen this phenomenon, just scroll down to see the pictures. For the rest of you, let me give you some background info on this place. My very good friend, Margaret spent countless hours at home this summer building her vision for this school year. She is a leader in Klassen Hall at Point Loma. Being the creative girl she is, she came up with a *sweet* theme for hall. She calls it "Klassen Kandyland". And that's exactly what it is. Here are some pictures I took of her work when I visited in August. This place is amazing! Make sure to check out this hall before years end!

The entrance...

Plumpy
Mr. Mint
Gumdrop Pass
The bats of King Licorice
Gramma Nut
Gloppy
And my personal favorite =) ... King Kandy's transformation

On another note: I think I'll dress up as Pocahantas for Halloween as a tribute to my celebrity "look-alike".
