I never liked New Year's resolutions. They never last longer than a week! Sometimes more if you have self-control/self-discipline. (Whichever applies to your case!) And I think I figured out why. Ellen put it in these words: "Everybody always resolves to start exercising, but they never do. You know why? Because it's January. Who wants to go jogging in the freezing cold?"
While at Encounter this weekend, I learned a little more about girls. Now it used to be that their first words were probably "ma-ma", "da-da", or some other small word. They usually don't like mud and they start planning their wedding once they are old enough to play dress-up. But at the conference, cheering and laughter erupted from the crowd when Pastor Jude said, "A girl's first words are Mr.Darcy". And I am inclined to agree with him.
I watched The Guardian this week. Although thoroughly predictable, it was good background noise as I cleaned my room. At the end of the movie, Ashton Kutcher's character reflects: "What makes a legend? Is it what someone did when they were alive? Or is it how they're remembered after they're gone?"
