This has been such an exciting weekend! My friend finally had her baby. My best friend is visiting home. The City Church FINALLY move into their building and Jeremy and Laura are now engaged! But what has been the most exciting for me is the 20th anniversary celebration of Harvest Church!
I cannot believe how fast the last 10 years of my life has flown by! I feel so old when I look around and see all my "kids" grown up and learning to become young adults. I remember being their ages and babysitting them! I cannot believe how much God has brought this church through and yet we're "still standing"! I have seen pastors move in and out, beloved friends move onto new seasons, and said good-bye to some dearly loved ones. I am so blessed to still be a part of God's move in this church. I am so thankful that after my intern year, I had somewhere to go back to with open arms and hearts. No words could ever express the love I feel for these people who have seen the good and bad of me over the last 10 years. They have been my pastors, mentors, friends, disciples, but most of all, my family. While I was not born into this church, I was raised here. It's where my roots have grown and where my heart will always have a special spot for.
I am so incredibly thankful for what God has and is still going to do in and through me while I am home. It has been 8 months since coming home, and I believe this celebration marks a new beginning for me at home. Thank you Jesus for my awesomely blessed life and a church I can always run home to!

I almost cried reading this... I wish I could have been there for the celebration!
I'll have to bring you the DVD the next time I visit. I really missed you guys being there! You guys will always have a special place at Harvest; you've left your mark!
