the awesome things in life

Over the past few months, I have read and heard some pretty awesome things. Some have been ridiculously silly, others significantly meaningful, but all have impacted me in some way over these last few months. I've learned that you don't have to be the smartest person; you just have to surround yourself with people who are smarter. Well, I know that I am not the most "awesomest" person out there, so I've decided to surround myself with people that are, in my opinion, pretty awesome. These are people stronger, smarter, wiser, more talented, (you name it!) than me. And that is an awesome thing in life to be surrounded by! So here's a little sample of some awesome things I have read and heard lately.

>'Defining moments'...They’re not spectacular. They’re not flashy or dashing or high profile. They usually happen in a back room somewhere, where nobody hangs out or wants to even go. But they’re important. They’re defining. (-Emilie)

>Arguing makes the heart grow stronger.

>I think that in His presence there is fullness of joy because it's not just singular joy, but joy reciprocated. What could be more fulfilling than that? (-Joy)

>The problem with having an 'open mind', of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it.

>Shoes are like chocolate...you can never have just one!

>To live this life, you've got to lost it. And all us losers get a crown.

>Fashion is something that goes in one year and out the other.

>It's just like magic. When you live by yourself, all of your annoying habits are gone!

>Live what you know. In time, He'll teach you the rest.

>There is a city in Tennessee called "Buttsnort". Yes I'm serious, and you can buy a trucker hat or Tee-Shirt there with that name on it. I just might. (-Jael...this is before she changed it it to "Bucksnort". Still hilarious!)

>You cannot do a thing to make God love you any more or any less. But you are in charge of how pleased He is with you.

>Now, oh God, strengthen my hands! (-Neh 6:9)

>Bring it on!
