faithful

I love that God has it all figured out before we can even plan a step. He is so faithful! Lately I have found myself complaining to the Lord and to a few people that I just don't seem to have enough money to pay for necessities. I know, pathetic. But this temporal stuff is my harsh reality right now. Honestly, have any of you ever really wondered, "Hey God, you know I'm tithing and giving faithfully, but I could really use that money!"?

Well, if you haven't, I've found myself thinking that an awful lot this summer. And let me tell you, an awful lot! Sure I've found some short-cuts to expenses since it's summer and I've picked up a few extra jobs, but it still doesn't seem to be enough. Today I found myself strategizing how to earn more money by (a) getting another job or (b) requesting more work hours. But somehow in all my planning, I knew that neither of those was really realistic for several reasons which I won't go in to.

Now here's the cool part of this. Almost immediately after I had finished another one of my "whine-y" sessions today, I got a call asking if I wanted some side work. I thought to myself, "Well, that was quick! So much for planning!" God may work in mysterious ways, but sometimes, opportunities are right in front of you! Here's an even cooler thing. I just received another call for a house-sitting job! Two calls in one day...I call that breakthrough! Sometimes I can't believe how much I worry about things that I know He has already provided for. I should know by now that just looking around will give me no way out. I guess this is just one of those tests that I am going to have to re-take until I start looking up, because obviously, He's got everything under control.
