Disneyland

My latest "adventure". My favorite part was that I had no idea I was going until 6 days before. It was almost like an answer to prayer. I had already bought a ticket from an auction and I had no idea of when I would get to use it. All I knew was that I wanted to use it before it expired. My answer came just two weeks after I bought the ticket. So on Friday, June 22, Mindy and I headed down to sunny SoCal for a weekend in our favorite place...Disneyland! Friday was spent driving very early in the morning. We ended up at the Hilton Hotel. My mouth pretty much dropped to the floor when I walked into the lobby. We ended up having a great deal on such a nice hotel.

After settling into the hotel, we went cruising down to Orange in the Minnie Mobile.

We ended up at The Block, where we found lots of crap to fill our suitcases and had the best food we've ever tasted!

I can't even remember what this was called, but it was a yummy dessert. (Notice the demolished eggroll plate in the back! I told you they were good!)

After The Block we drove around town to visit Mindy's college and in the process looked for a Wells Fargo. We found EVERY other bank, BofA, Bank of the West, WaMu, Citibank, you name it, except a Wells Fargo! I was so frustrated that I took a picture of a spanish bank because I thought it was so pathetic that we found one of those but could not seem to find a Wells Fargo. Anyone recognize this one?

Saturday was our big day in the park and so much fun! It has been three years since I last went to Disneyland with Mindy and I have missed it! She is the best person to go with because she loves it all and pretty much knows everything about it! Not to mention, she also worked there when she lived in southern CA.

First we headed to Pirates of the Carribean, but not before passing through time to Sleeping Beauty's Castle.

Next we hit Splash Mountain, where we had the whole boat to ourselves. So we decided to take a different kind of picture.

Before you see the next pictures, let me explain. First off, the new Buzz Lightyear ride is AWESOME! However, if you don't know what you're doing, it's not as fun. I got on the ride with the impression that it was like going through a video game, and not like playing a video game. So give me a break on this first round. I didn't know you had targets to shoot. (yes, sometimes I need these things explained to me!) Anyway, I did much better during the second round, since I had some idea as to what to do. But Mindy still beat me! (I think she's had way more practice though.)


We ended the "ride" part of the day with the new 'Finding Nemo' submarine ride. We waited in line for two hours. I guess it was worth it. Everyone should go on it at least once. But I won't be waiting in line again if it's that long!

Throughout the trip we decided to take random pictures of ourselves with hats, sunglasses, characters, on the rides, whatever. We've both been there so many times that it was time to change things up a bit and take some fun pictures. Here are some of them.

Although completely tired after almost 16 hours in Disneyland with only a few hours of sleep, we found time to take some pictures in the elevator on our way to the room.
